一、个人简介

曹帅,男,教授(PI),博士生导师。河南平舆人,本科毕业于东北师范大学生命科学学院(基地班),获生物科学理学学位;并推免进入南京农业大学攻读研究生学位,获作物遗传育种博士学位。2022年加入新加坡国立大学淡马锡生命科学实验室,任Research Fellow。2025年进入西北农林科技大学生命科学学院工作,任教授(四级),硕士/博士导师,博士后合作导师,课题组组长(PI)。长期从事植物进化、作物驯化育种的遗传及表观遗传学基础解析。2021年至今,以第一/主要作者在PNAS (2021),Genome Biology (2022;2024),Nature Communications (2025),Trends in Plant Science (2024),Plant Cell (2023)等中科院1区Top期刊发表多篇SCI论文(累计影响因子100+)。

二、研究兴趣及方向

1. 作物驯化的遗传及表观遗传学基础解析(涉及作物育种,物种进化,遗传学,表观遗传学,生物化学、细胞生物学,生物信息学,生物大数据,机器学习等众多生命科学学科):以旱区作物为研究对象,基于自然及人工群体、多组学(生物大数据)技术,对作物野生种质资源优异等位基因或元件的遗传及表观遗传机制高效挖掘及精准调控位点鉴定;综合运用遗传学、生物化学、细胞生物学等多种手段探索功能基因和元件的作用机制;并利用基因编辑、远缘回交渐渗、基因组加倍等,拓宽栽培作物的遗传背景或从头驯化,从而进行作物品质及抗逆种质创新及育种。

2. 作物复杂基因组的表观遗传调控机制解析(涉及表观遗传学,遗传学,生物化学、细胞生物学,生物信息学,生物大数据,机器学习等众多学科):以旱区作物为研究对象,基于突变体库、多组学(生物大数据)和基因编辑技术,对DNA甲基化和RNA甲基化的表观遗传调控通路关键基因进行功能解析;综合运用遗传学、生物化学、细胞生物学等多种手段探索表观遗传对下游基因的精细调控机理;结合性状筛选育种潜力基因,并利用基因编辑、表观遗传学技术等,进行作物品质及抗逆种质创新及育种。

平台及技术支持:除校超算平台外,实验室独立配备高性能CUPs/GPUs服务器HPC(256线程)。本实验室具备手搓各种组学实验建库、分析等一揽子技术服务(涵盖基于二代测序平台的DNAseq,如HiCseq/BASseq/16SrRNAseq/ChIPseq/DAPseq/BSseq等和各种RNAseq如mRNAseq/ncRNAseq/RIPseq/CLIPseq等;以及sn/scRNAseq,空间转录组分析;基于三代Oxford Nanopore和Pacbio平台数据分析、基因组组装及模型开发;并进行新组学技术开发等)和群体遗传与表观遗传研究(多组学与智慧育种)。常年欢迎业内专家学者、学生前来交流、合作。

1. Introduction

Prof. Cao received his B.S. in biological at Northeast Normal University, and Ph.D. in Agronomy (Crop Genetics and Breeding) at Nanjing Agricultural University. Following a Research Fellow position, he joined the faculty at Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory, National University of Singapore. In 2025, he joined the faculty of College of Life Science, Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University and was promoted to Full Professor and Principal Investigator. 2021, research had been published on PNAS, Genome Biology, Nature Communications, Trends in Plant Science, Plant Cell etc. (Total IF over 100).

2. Research Interests

Genetics and epigenetics of crop domestication and breeding (related to crop breeding, evolution, genetics, epigenetics, cell biology, bioinformation, bigdata, machine learning, etc), focus on natural and artificial population, use multi-omics for mining functional genes or regulator elements derived from wild relatives of crops; and then integrated genetics, epigenetics, biochemistry, cell biology, etc for investigation of their molecular mechanism; further use gene editing, backcrossing, genome double, etc for increasing the genetic variation of cultivated crops or de novo domestication, finally innovating germplasm and breeding on crop quality and resilience.
